Thanks Dennis, Mick and Leigh for this excellent contribution to the Coventry Music sites. It's great to hear the music again - still fresh to my mind. I think some of the young accoustic duo's we have on at the Writers Cafe in Stockton now will be inspired by these tracks - Hooper and Tommy Marshall's Ambassadors and the Steve Marron Project
Comments are not enabled on the Rosemary Hill audio so I'll put them here - the guitars and glock sound great on this track. Was always a favourite. I seem to remember Rosemary Hill being in Kenilworth - the park by Kenilworth Castle. As a kid we would end up there sometimes on a Car Treasure Hunt. It seemed a magical place back then - I can see how it might inspire a song.
The song has synergies with Floyd's Granchester Medows which was popular at the time - different but captures a similar vibe somehow.
Hmm, teething problems... I just checked and comments on audio are definately enabled for friends and family - however I (under my own login) am unable to post a comment; even though Ii am a friend.... Will investigate further. Thanks Trev.
